I enjoyed the mixture of the first 3 books, in fact I'm planning on reading more James Twining books.Major Pettigrew's Last Stand was also a surprise, not being as twee as I thought it was going to be.In fact it was quite modern and up to date.

The book was spoiled, if I can put it that way, by the addition of Hannah's Choice as the final story in the collection. It was out of place. The other three were works of fiction, this was a true story, a tale of life and death.Should Hannah, a young girl plagued with heart trouble all her life decide to have a transplant? It's a well written story and I did enjoy it, but it didn't feel right after three fictional tales, it would have been better in a collection of similar books.
