Twelve year-old Ellie Prestruns away' from home to teach her mother, a hard-working scientist, a lesson. She goes to a family friend's farm, where things turn decidedly strange. Ellie discovers a room full of electronic spying equipment and her friend then confesses that he is a government spy!

Author Biography: Adelaide writer Ian Bone has an extensive, award-winning background in children's television, producing drama and situation comedy. He began writing young adult and children's literature while at the ABC and has had a number of books published.
