This book consists of many interesting and ingenious ways of explaining the early blues, as well as common problems found in the life of African-Americans in the Deep South.B.B.’s life is uncommonly interesting and doesn’t allow you to get bored, even in his early life.As you read you get more and more into it.David Ritz gives you the feeling of knowing King first hand.From his personal life, to his deepest troubling issues, it’s all revealed in a timely and attention grabbing format.As you read you also see how B.B. changed many people’s views of blacks and how many portrayed with their work ethic.I found the book to be a highly interesting and intriguing book that anyone could read and enjoy.Some irrelevant parts I thought could’ve been left out, but overall a very good read.
